Marketing Trends

The internet has changed everything and traditional advertising, in today's highly competitive market, has proven to be insufficient in helping many small businesses grow. Traditional print advertising is becoming less effective and most consumers have traded in their Yellow Pages for a more comprehensive online search.

In Forester Research US interactive Forecast for 2009 to 2014, it was reported that marketing will near $55 billion and represent 21% of all marketing spend in 2014 as markerters shift dollars away from traditional media toward search marketing, display advertising, email marketing, social media, and mobile marketing. This interactive media will cannibalize traditional media. The majority of marketers find that interactive channels are more effective than traditional media, especially in a recession.

The report finds that 60% of marketers will shift money from existing traditional markets to interactive marketing. Most will come form direct mail, newspapers, magazines, television and Yellow Pages.

The increase in interactive marketing tactics will come for social media, online video, Search Engine Optimization, mobile marketing, and paid search listing. AdzZoo definitely is in the drivers' seat as we expand the marketing interactive platform. We will also be adding mobile banking. Check out YouTube and search for "mobile banking in Kenya."

Today 80% of marketers embrace paid search and SEO. AdzZoo gives an affordable alternative to small business for these marketing strategies. As marketers move from traditional media toward less expensive and more efficient interactive tools, marketers will actually need less money to accomplish their current advertising goals.
